The Eagle Ditcher
The one-pass ditching system

What if you could have the control
and performance of a scraper AND the efficiency of a rotary ditcher all
in one? That is exactly what the Eagle Ditcher delivers. Designed and
tested for over 7 years by Ed Erickson of Erickson Mfg. Co. from
Milnor North Dakota (www.Eagleditcher.com),
the Eagle Ditcher gives you fast and effective drainage in your fields.
It can be used in any soil type, under almost any conditions. It plows
right through muck and standing water and can even be used in-crop when
you need to do more than just make ruts. A premier machine for a dirty
job: the Eagle Ditcher is more than a scraper, or a rotary ditcher
it's
both in one.
How it works
The Eagle Ditcher is PTO driven, but
only requires 100 hp to 150 hp to run properly under a real load.

The unit is lowered hydraulically to
make the 4' scraper blade (5' with the wings) dig in from 1" to 12".
The optional coulters can cut a perfect edge if that's what you're looking
for.

The soil pushes itself up and is assisted
by the new style beater. The beater keeps the flow moving and helps prevent
plugging
After the beater pushes the dirt through,
it drops onto the rotary disk (just behind and above the wheel in this
picture). The speed of the disk is controlled by PTO speed to throw the
soil more than 100', or drop it just past and behind the tire, depending
on what you need.
In this picture, you can also see the directional door. There is one on
either side to open and allow you to throw the soil to the left or to
the right.
